Can be used for making furniture as a natural alternative to Formica or melamine.
What is eco about it?
It is made from plant based materials, no petrol, with recycled materials, paper and natural resin which makes it totally natural for burning at the end of it’s life and so I think it doesn’t pollute any more than wood. Or it can be ground and used as a wood filler, but I imagine you would need to find a way of efficiently removing it off the wood surface that you have glued it to. Lastly it is inert so will not offgass any chemicals, so is great if you don’t want to add more bad chemicals to your home. The fact that it isn’t made with petrol means it is you are not supporting a non renewable material that causes Wars and so much pollution around the World. You can buy it in the UK in sheets of 2440x122omm minimum order 11 sheets from: http://www.brentplastics.co.uk Find out more on the Dekodur website: http://www.dekodur.com/en/reystone-biocomposite-board.html#1 And here: http://www.reystone.de/
